High School Coach Arrested for DUI In OC

Alvin Harrison, a Gilroy high school track and field coach, is being held on a $50,000 bond at an Orange County jail for causing a DUI-related accident.

The 37-year-old two-time Olympic gold medalist was down in Orange County on a school athletic field trip when he collided into another vehicle on state Highway 73. No students were in the vehicle at the time of the accident and once officers arrived at the scene of the accident, they arrested Harrison for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level of 0.08% or more. Harrison is being charged with a DUI causing bodily injury to any person other than the driver and driving with a suspended license.
