California Man Arrested for DUI after Road Rage on I-5

Warren Neal Hawkins, 66, has been arrested for driving under the influence after he rammed a man's truck twice and yelled death threats out his window.

The Cottonwood man was driving his 1998 Ford Explorer on the 5 freeway at around 6:40pm. Hawkins's was driving 52 mph in the fast lane when another driver, 22-year-old Nicholas Gasik passed him up. According to Redding, Hawkins did not appreciate being cut off and drove up close behind Gasik, yelling and making hand gestures before pulling up alongside of Gasik's Toyota Tacoma to continue yelling.

Hawkins then got back behind Gasik's truck and proceeded to ram the rear of the Tacoma twice. Once both men got off the next exit, Hawkins proceeded to speed towards Gasisk's stopped car and began yelling death threats from his open window. Hawkins was arrested for driving under the influence, assault with a deadly weapon and making terrorist threats.
