Newport Beach DUI Checkpoint Scheduled for Friday

Plan on drinking in or around Newport Beach this weekend? Please be aware of an Orange County DUI Checkpoint on Friday, March 11th.

From 9pm until 3am, the Newport Beach police department will be conducting a DUI/ driver's license checkpoint. According to the Newport Beach Police news release, the checkpoint will occur on northbound Dover Drive at 16th Street. During the checkpoint, officers will be looking for obvious signs of intoxication and will have motorists conduct DUI field sobriety tests to confirm their suspicions.
