Marine Killed, Driver Suspected of DUI

Joel Thomas Toovey, 19, has been arrested on the suspicion of driving under the influence in San Diego. Mr. Toovey, an enlisted Marine at Camp Pendleton, was driving a pickup with passenger Lance Cpl. Andrew T. Tjhung, also 19. According to Sign on San Diego, Mr. Toovey was driving down I-805 in San Diego when he lost control of the vehicle, striking a parked tow truck on the shoulder of the freeway. Mr. Toovey suffered major injuries while his passenger, unfortunately, was killed. Our California DUI Defense Attorneys send our condolences to the family of Mr. Tjhung.
