Huntington Beach Police Arrest 11 During Checkpoint

Eleven DUI's were given on Saturday evening, when more than 1,500 cars drove through a California sobriety checkpoint in Huntington Beach.

The Orange County Register states that on Beach Blvd. and Speer St., Huntington Beach police conducted 42 sobriety tests, handed out 10 citations for driving on a suspended license or not having a license and had 6 cars impounded. Between the hours of 9:30pm and 3a.m, officers worked diligently to protect the public by removing intoxicated motorists from the streets while handing out more than 500 Project Path pamphlets on the dangers of drinking and driving.
