Orange County gears up for Cinco de Mayo with DUI checkpoints

Cinco de Mayo is traditionally a drinking holiday. Along with St. Patrick's Day and New Years Eve, Cinco de Mayo ranks high among the list of days which have the most intoxicated drivers on the road. The Fullerton Police Department has announced that they will place a DUI checkpoint at the 200 block of E. Commonwealth Avenue from 6:00 pm until midnight on Cinco de Mayo in an effort to arrest those allegedly driving under the influence. If you are arrested for an Orange County DUI you may think that you have no options. The truth is that a leading Orange County DUI Defense Attorney can assist you with understanding the law and presenting defenses for your case. Checkpoints are subject to numerous laws in order to not be in violation of state and federal laws, so understanding these laws is key to getting a successful outcome in your case.
