Kern County firefighter arrested for felony drunk driving

Mitchell Green, a Kern County firefighter was arrested on charges of felony DUI and vehicular manslaughter when he allegedly failed to stop at a red light and broadsided a Hyundai driven by a 15 year old girl, Michaela. Michaela was driving her 41 year old mother when the accident occurred. Michelle Marie Maxwell died at the scene and Michaela suffered moderate injuries including a broken leg and wrist. Green's truck struck a power pole disabling power to the nearby neighborhood and causing his truck to burst into flames.
