DUI Cop Pulls Over Wife (also a cop) For DUI Twice

As a DUI defense attorney in California, I have heard of several stories of cops letting fellow cops, judges and DA’s off for DUI. It’s one of those “favors” they sometimes do for each other. Well, in this case a married couple were both cops at the same department. Apparently, the wife was drinking at the local downtown wine event earlier and her husband pulled her over on her way home.

Even more interesting is the fact that she refused to blow into the PAS device and left the scene. The cop/husband then had to call for back up and pull her over a second time. Was this just a “good cop” doing the right thing and treating his wife just like a normal person or something more?

I bet they were having some marriage difficulties and he wanted to get her back….
